Today Canonical software announced the release of Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, the latest version of the Linux OS. The release sees an updated Ubuntu Desktop edition offering 3 years long term support for integrated packages and a multitude of media, interface and internet experience improvements. Additionally today's release brings the latest version of the Ubuntu Server Edition, with support for the latest in virtualization technology, infrastructure applications, enhanced security and all of this with the benefit of 5 years long term support.
